For the e46, is it necessary to open the brake fluid reservoir before depressing the piston? Also, is it necessary to open the bleeder screw at the same time? (I have heard some people and Bently claim it to be necessary but in the videos for e46s, nobody seems to do it....I am nevous about the warning about getting air into the system when you open the bleeder screw so I wish I knew the answer for sure)

Thank you for your feedback! When pushing the piston into the caliper housing, it is recommended to open the brake fluid reservoir cover, however, it is not necessary to open the pump.

wow so much copper grease on the hub which was not even cleaned properly, i don't think you should do it like that, also at 5:36 you can see that he got some of the blue grease on the brake pads, that is bad. Also it is better to clean the brake rotor before instalation so you do not contaminate brake pads while cleaning and rotating brake rotors. And spraying copper grease on this part at 6:45 is useless, if want your wheel to not get stuck, you should lube that lip in the center

Well... I really don't know what autodoc want's in the world, but it's awful. First almost destroy the small part dealers with this cheap part prices. Encourage the people to buy parts instead the mechanic would do it, who get discount because he is a mass user, he order 1000 brake discs, of course he got some discount. But now he can't earn any money out of it, because autodoc comes and destroys that... Well, not quite fair, BUT NOW, encourage people to do their own brakes? I mean it's people driving with cars, it's so fucking dangerous, and do videos like this WHY? Why would you use som much copper grease on the wheel hub? Are you don't know if it's so thick, it's cause a heat shield, the brake disc can't absorb the heat of the braking (which is designed to give some of the heat to the hub) and the brake disc will bend within 1000 km-s of use? I did the same mistake when I was a beginner auto mechanic.
What with press the brake caliper piston back WITHOUT checking the piston for rust? What if it's have a decent amount of rust, you push it back, and when you press the brake pedal for the first time the piston comes out, and it's doesn't slip again because of the rust on the piston? Yes, the new brakes gonna overheat and burn hard, destroy the wheel bearing, and so on...(Been there, done that AS A NEWBIE)
What with you didn't touch the gliding bolts, no cleaning no new silicone grease, NOTHING. Big mistake.
The top of that pile of mistake, brake clean only the one side of the brake disc, and AFTER spray grease-it which is CLEARLY gotten on to the brake disc to!!!! Like WTF? Why? Why would you do this? This is so fuckn" dangerous...and destroys small businesses ALL AROUND EUROPE. I live in Denmark, it already affects the whole industry as I see... Seriously...don't..

For autodoc doesnt`t matter that part is much cheaper, just stole the money, who cares... aaand if you write to them the answer always is oUr teChnIchaN cheCkeD and tHis i the SamE PaRt.
